The viral pottery spinning berry bowl is coming to Clayground for summer. Limited time only until the end of August.

By popular demand, we’re bringing this Instagram-favourite ceramic piece to our studio in the form of a beginner-friendly handbuilding workshop. This fun and functional berry bowl is designed with a small tunnel attached to the side. When placed under running water in the sink, the water flows through the tunnel and comes out along the inside of the bowl, helping create a gentle spinning motion to rinse your berries.

In this 2-hour workshop, our instructor will guide you step-by-step through the handbuilding process to create your own spinning berry bowl. Each participant will make one spinning berry bowl and add their own personal touch to the shape and details.

At the end of the workshop, you will choose one of our studio glaze colours. After class, our team will complete the drying, two kiln firings, and glazing process for you.

This workshop is great for beginners and no previous pottery experience is needed.

Finished pieces will be ready for pickup after 4-5 weeks when they have been dried, fired, glazed, and fired again by our studio team. All finished ceramics are food safe, dishwasher safe

Note - Price is for one person; please select the quantity in the calendar by pressing book below for attending participants. 

Note - 5 Minute Slot Lock - When you add a time slot to your cart, it’s held for 5 minutes to prevent double-booking. Please only add to cart when ready to check out. After 5 minutes, any unpurchased slots will be automatically released and made available again for others to book - check back in 5–10 minutes if you don’t see openings.

  • Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your session begins. We allow a 15-minute grace period to ensure everyone has a smooth and enjoyable experience.
  • We cannot be held responsible for any personal items left behind, so please remember to take all your belongings with you when you leave.
  • Finished pieces must be picked up within 1 month of notification. After this time, unclaimed items will be discarded.
  • Pottery is a delicate process, and sometimes pieces may crack or break during drying or firing. This can happen for many reasons—like air bubbles forming while you pulled up the clay, not enough compression at the base, drying too quickly due to weather, or issues during kiln firing. While we do our best to prevent this and it doesn’t happen often, we can’t guarantee that every piece will survive the full process 100% of the time. It’s all part of the pottery journey—and at Clayground, we embrace the wabi-sabi mindset: perfectly imperfect.
  • Duration: 2 hours

  • Trimmed nails and tied up hair
  • Clothes and footwear that you are okay with getting a little muddy. (Aprons provided)

Our strict rescheduling and cancellation policy is in place out of respect for our instructor's time, labour, and studio operations. All workshops and classes involve preparation up to 24 hrs in advance for materials, clay wedging/prepping, tools, and setup for each registered participant. We appreciate your understanding.

Workshops:

  • You can reschedule your workshop through the rescheduling link in your confirmation email, up to 72 hours before your scheduled time. After this window, rescheduling is no longer available. No Exceptions.
  • If you’re within the 72-hour window but don’t see an available time slot, please email us at helloteam@clayground.ca, and we’ll do our best to help.
  • No-shows will not be eligible for rescheduling or refund.

Cancellations:

We DO NOT offer refunds.

  • However, if you want to cancel a workshop 72+ hours in advance, we can issue a store credit for future use. Please email us at helloteam@clayground.ca
  • Cancellations made after these timeframes are not eligible for rescheduling or store credit.
