If this is your first time applying for a Clayground membership, it’s required that you book an orientation session below. During this orientation, we’ll walk you through how our studio operates, show you where all the tools and equipment are located, and cover essential studio safety guidelines. This ensures that everyone feels comfortable and confident while working in the space.

After completing your studio orientation and membership payment, you’ll receive a link to set up your account on our members-only booking site. From there, you can log in to reserve time slots for the wheel, handbuilding, or glaze station—ensuring a spot is available when you arrive.

Our studio allows you to pause your membership for up to 1 month per year (within a 12-month period). If you need to pause for longer than one month, we recommend cancelling your membership and rejoining when you’re ready.

Please note: Due to limited shelf space, we cannot guarantee that a spot will be available when you return. If our studio is full, you will be added to our waitlist and notified as soon as space opens up.

Clay - We encourage our members to purchase clay directly from our studio, as you’ll receive a discounted price exclusive to members. By purchasing it from us it covers costs associated with glazing and firing.

Members can bring their own clay; however, please note that an additional $25 will be added to your membership price to cover the costs associated with glazing and firing. Please let one of our staff know and we will set that up.

Glazes - Members are welcome to bring their own glazes; however, for safety reasons, you must first bring them to the studio and have them approved by our staff. This ensures that the glazes are suitable for use in our kiln. Once approved, we’ll place a sticker on your glaze container to indicate that it’s safe for use in our studio. This process helps protect your work, as well as our equipment and the creations of other members.

All works at Clayground are fired exclusively by our studio technician to ensure safety and proper handling. For this reason, members are not permitted to operate the kiln. Rest assured, our experienced staff will handle all your pieces with care throughout the firing process.

However, please understand that ceramics can be unpredictable, and breakages can occur during firing, glazing, or finishing stages. While we take every precaution to minimize risks, there is always a small chance of damage that may be beyond our control. We appreciate your understanding and patience in this delicate process.

At Clayground, we fire our kilns daily to keep your projects moving forward. While we strive to fire all available pieces as quickly as possible, please allow a standard turnaround time of up to 2 weeks for your work to be completed. This ensures that every piece is handled with care through each stage of the firing process.
