Looking for a kids summer camp in South Surrey / White Rock?Join us this summer for a fun and hands-on Kids Pottery Camp! Designed for ages 7–12, this 4-day, 5hrs each day creative experience lets kids explore clay, build with their hands, and bring their ideas to life.

You can sign up for one session (4 days) or multiple sessions throughout the summer — perfect for kids who want to keep creating, learning, and trying new projects each week.

Schedule:
Monday – Thursday
10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Each day, students will work on a variety of handbuilding projects, such as:

Slab-built plates and bowls
Plant imprint plate
Pinch mugs
Name plates
Ceramic bag charm with beads
Small sculptural animals
Ceramic magnets
Underglaze painting and decorating

Projects are chosen by the instructor to balance fun and skill development. All pieces can be underglaze decorated and will be finished with a food-safe and dishwasher-safe glaze.

Our camp is kept to a small group of 8-10 participants, with two instructors to ensure guidance and support. One instructor is certified in Emergency First Aid + CPR-C for added peace of mind.

Pottery Summer Camp – FAQ

Booking Information

Camps are booked per week. You’re welcome to:

Book a single week
Or register for multiple weeks (simply add your preferred dates to your cart)

For returning campers, kids can:

Revisit their favourite projects
Or try new ones with guidance from our instructors

After Booking

Once your booking is confirmed, our team will email you a form to complete, including:

Allergy and emergency contact information
Safety liability waiver
Photo consent (optional, please provide an email for photos if you would like us to send you pictures of your child in camp)
What to bring to camp

What to Expect (roughly)

Each day includes a mix of Handbuilding pottery projects:

10:00 AM – First pottery project
11:00 AM – Second pottery project
12:00 PM – Lunch break (please bring your own peanut-free lunch, snacks, and water bottle)
12:45 PM – Clean up, activity/stretching
1:30 PM – Painting, decorating, finishing up all projects
3:00 PM – Pickup

Each day will feature different projects, keeping the experience fresh and exciting.

Take-Home Pieces

By the end of the week, your child will create 8–10 unique ceramic pieces.

All work will go through our full drying, firing, and glazing process, which takes approximately 4 weeks. Once completed, you’ll receive an email notification for pickup.

What to Bring

Peanut-free lunch and snacks
Water or drinks in a closed-lid bottle (no open containers in the studio)
Comfortable clothing that can get a little messy

For the best experience, we recommend that kids’ nails are trimmed short, as this helps with working with clay.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

Summer camp:

You can reschedule your summer camp dates by emailing us at helloteam@clayground.ca
Latest 1 Week before your scheduled day. After this window, rescheduling is no longer available. No Exceptions.

Cancellations:

We DO NOT offer refunds.

However, if you want to cancel a camp 1 week in advance, we can issue a store credit for future use. Please email us at helloteam@clayground.ca
Cancellations made after these timeframes are not eligible for rescheduling or store credit. No Exceptions.
