Get into the holiday spirit with our Winter Tealight House Handbuilding Workshop! In this fun and festive beginner-friendly 2-hour workshop, you'll create your very own ceramic tealight house from scratch — perfect for adding a warm, cozy glow to your home during the winter season!

Our instructor will guide you through slab-building and clay attachment techniques, teaching you how to construct and assemble your own little house. You'll have the freedom to personalize your design with windows, doors, rooftops, and charming decorative details to make it uniquely yours! Once your house is built, you'll also have time to paint and decorate it using our studio underglazes.

After your piece has been professionally fired and glazed by our studio team, your finished ceramic house can be illuminated with a real or battery-operated tealight, creating a beautiful, cozy glow through its windows.

These little houses make wonderful holiday decorations, thoughtful handmade gifts, or keepsakes to bring out year after year!

Note - Price is for one person; please select the quantity in the calendar by pressing book below for attending participants.

Note - 5 Minute Slot Lock - When you add a time slot to your cart, it’s held for 5 minutes to prevent double-booking. Please only add to cart when ready to check out. After 5 minutes, any unpurchased slots will be automatically released and made available again for others to book - check back in 5–10 minutes if you don’t see openings.

Important to know!

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your session begins. We allow a 15-minute grace period to ensure everyone has a smooth and enjoyable experience.
We cannot be held responsible for any personal items left behind, so please remember to take all your belongings with you when you leave.
Finished pieces must be picked up within 1 month of notification. After this time, unclaimed items will be discarded.
Pottery is a delicate process, and sometimes pieces may crack or break during drying or firing. This can happen for many reasons—like air bubbles forming while you pulled up the clay, not enough compression at the base, drying too quickly due to weather, or issues during kiln firing. While we do our best to prevent this and it doesn’t happen often, we can’t guarantee that every piece will survive the full process 100% of the time. It’s all part of the pottery journey—and at Clayground, we embrace the wabi-sabi mindset: perfectly imperfect.

What do I need to prepare before coming?

Trimmed nails and tied up hair
Clothes and footwear that you are okay with getting a little muddy. (Aprons provided)

Cancellation & Rescheduling

Our strict rescheduling and cancellation policy is in place out of respect for our instructor's time, labour, and studio operations. All workshops and classes involve preparation up to 24 hrs in advance for materials, clay wedging/prepping, tools, and setup for each registered participant. We appreciate your understanding.

Workshops:

You can reschedule your workshop through the rescheduling link in your confirmation email, up to 72 hours before your scheduled time. After this window, rescheduling is no longer available. No Exceptions.
If you’re within the 72-hour window but don’t see an available time slot, please email us at helloteam@clayground.ca, and we’ll do our best to help.
No-shows will not be eligible for rescheduling or refund.

Cancellations:

We DO NOT offer refunds.

However, if you want to cancel a workshop 72+ hours in advance, we can issue a store credit for future use. Please email us at helloteam@clayground.ca
Cancellations made after these timeframes are not eligible for rescheduling or store credit.
